We've got forums
Howdy everyone. I just wanted to let you know that we've got forums. They've been sitting there kinda unused for a while, but I thought it would be really good to try and get the Nintendo Okie community up and going. The link is over there on the right. Just click on N-O Forums in the site navigation section or you can click here.
If there are any categories you can think of we should add let me know and I'll see what we can do. I want to get them going and have them be a destination to discuss everything that's going on on the site. It may be a slow process for the near future, but hopefully it will grow to something we all enjoy.

Where in the World is the Nintendo Okie Community?
Howdy folks. I saw some interesting data today when I was looking over some web traffic information for Nintendo Okie. We're getting a good number of hits per day, which excites me. It means we must be doing something right. The interesting stat, though, was where our hits were coming from and I'll share those with you:
47.9% come from Europe
46.5% come from the United States
5.6% come from Other.
My question to you all is this. Where in the world are you anyway? We would like to cover as many games for as many people as possible. I assumed starting out that most of our views would come from the United States, which in hindsight, was a bit naive. We do live on a big planet after all. These stats show me that we need to make sure to provide coverage for games that are coming to Europe as well, since the release schedules are a bit different from each other.
This will also help us in talking to developers to better let them know how we provide coverage for their games. It's pretty self explanatory that the site is based in Oklahoma, but where are ya'll from?

Help Wanted

Nintendo Okie is looking for some new people interested in doing a few different things.
First, we need someone who has a DS and is interested in heading up the DS coverage for us. You will be in charge of reviews, coverage and more concerning Nintendo's handheld platform.
Requirements:
1. Being the owner of a Nintendo DS.
2. Firm knowledge of the English language.
3. The time and desire to write reviews for Nintendo Okie.
If you're interested in this position, please provide two writing samples, preferably reviews for DS games. They do not have to be reviews of games that we have posted on the site. New reviews would be greatly appreciated, but not required. Any DS game will do.
Second, we're interested in doing a podcast and need someone who has some experience recording and editing a show that would probably last between 45 minutes to an hour.
Requirements:
1. Knowledge on the use of Skype.
2. Knowledge on editing and posting podcasts.
3. The time and desire to do this for Nintendo Okie.
Please submit a sample of no longer than 5 minutes in length.
Lastly, we're looking for someone who is interested in covering games for our European readers. We have a pretty good following on that continent and since we don't have anyone there at the moment it would be nice to have someone more local doing coverage for us in Europe.
Requirements:
1. Knowledge of the English Language
2. You MUST live in Europe.
3. Be a fan of Nintendo.
4. Want to write for Nintendo Okie.
Note: As we are not a commercial site, these will not be paid positions. You are doing this to simply help spread the word about upcoming and recently released content covering all areas of Nintendo. You do not have to live in the state of Oklahoma, even if the title of the site says otherwise. I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys have. You can submit all inquiries to mailto:%20tonymiller@nintendo-okie.com

We've Moved!!!
It's a bit of exciting news today folks. If you pay real close attention to the domain address at the top of the page it no longer says blogspot. We've got an official domain now. You can find us here at www.nintendo-okie.com. Don't worry. we'll still be providing all the usual content and posting won't change. I've just decided to move up a little bit and make it a touch more professional with an actual website.
I'll be looking in the future to enhance the look of the page, but for right now we'll still look pretty much the same, you just don't have to type as much in now. Tell your friends. We're officially Nintendo Okie now.
